My Last Meal...

I sound like a person on death sentence... No I didn't have the usual steak and the works, and I am not on death row. I have just decided to finally try the Lemon and Cayene Pepper Cleansing Diet and I cannot chose a better time than this Lenten Season. Tomorrow is Ash Tuesday and tomorrow will also be my first day.

What is the Lemon and Cayene Pepper Cleansing Diet (some call is Master Cleanse)?

I learned about this from my sistah Anna on Facebook. Summer is just around the corner and she lives in Cali, land of the bodacious bodies on the beach. As she prepares her self to wear her sexy bikini, she enrolled her self at Gold's Gym and she said that she will be doing this cleansing diet. I got really curious when she posted this in her shout out.

Beyonce did this cleansing diet and apparently lost 20 pounds in 10 days. All she did was drink 8oz of water with a little lemon, cayene pepper and maple syrup (the organic type) for 10 days, no food intake at all! I was more encouraged to try it when a friend of hers also made a comment on her shout out and told her that he lost 3 pounds in just one day and lost a total of almost 20 pounds as well in 10 days. Not bad! Not bad at all! =)

I knew it was going to be easy and hard at the same time. Easy because all I do is just stay home, I shouldn't really get hungry that easily. I can also go back walking on the treadmill to speed up shedding pounds but I was really worried what the effect would be in terms of my energy. Anna's friend told me that I may feel weak at first and will really have a problem with craving for food for the first 3 days but once I'm past the 3 days, it should be a lot easier for me. He said he makes the lemonade 3-4 times a day.

So I decided, I will do it. I will start it tomorrow, Ash Wednesday as a way also of fasting for the Lenten Season. I have never done fasting my entire life, this is definitely a first for me. My goal is to do this for a minimum of 5 days and if I can, do the entire 10 days. I only have 13 minutes left to eat anything solid. Starting midnight, no more food, only the lemonade and water.

I will be documenting my attempt to lose weight. Will I still be able to exercise? Will I get past the 3 days? Will I make it on the 5th? Can I go all the way to 10 days? Let's see. =)

So what did I eat for my last meal before this cleansing diet?

Checkers double mushroom swiss with bacon combo with Coke and large seasoned fries.

How sinful... I really need to fast...
