Aaahhh... Day 3... 5:29 AM, what the heck am I doing up so early?
I fell asleep 8PM last night, woke up around 1AM and tried to sleep a little bit more... Got up again at around 3AM and I haven't slept since...
I was able to chat online with a doctor friend of mine and told her about the master cleanse that I am doing right now. She said she's heard about it and that it worked well with Beyonce. I asked her if she would recommend that, she said she hasn't tried it, she doesn't personally know anyone who has done it therefor she wouldn't recommend it.
She has shared with me though some articles online that she came across with, some of the links I even posted on my Facebook. And I am telling you, after reading it, it kinda made me re-think this whole master cleanse thing.
To sum up what the doctor thinks about the Master Cleanse is this: "I don't know if it works, but I can't recommend it." Sounded a bit like my friend's statement, fair enough for me.
I particularly liked his recommendation on the right way to weight loss: eat a little less and exercise a little more. To my dear friends who are seriously thinking of trying the Master Cleanse, please make sure you read about it thoroughly and see what Dr. Zimney has to say about the subject.
I know of people who have tried and succeeded, but we also know that it's always different strokes for different folks.
We are always attracted to the quick fix to weight loss, I am personally guilty of it. I have heard that I had to do some type of preparation before going through this Master Cleanse which I am still trying to research up to now and was not mentioned on the literature a friend gave me, I knew there had to be something I needed to do other than buy the necessary ingredients. (If you do find out, please tell me)
So does this mean that I will cut my cleansing diet short? I'm not sure yet... Although I would have to admit that Dr. Zimney's articles really enlightened me. I mean, I knew from the very beginning that eating a little less and exercising a lot more is the way to go, I just needed to feel THIS hungry to admit that it is okay to eat but eat a little less and eat healthy and use your new treadmill!
I realized, if I read that statement "eat a little less and exercise a lot more" when I wasn't doing the cleansing yet, I will just not take it seriously... Now that I am up this early, 2 days without food and with only 5 hours of sleep, it made a lot more sense and definitely had a lot more impact on me.
