I was born with curly hair, the big, shiny, bouncy curls, not the really thick one. When I reached pre-school though, my hair turned out really straight and shiny (yes!), my Lola would always put in a ponytail or put clips and headbands. For some reason, when I reached 6th grade, I told my Lola: I WANT CURLY HAIR...
Being a Lola's girl, my Lola brought me to the salon and got half my hair permed. I wanted the top part straight and the bottom part curly, I wasn't aspiring to look like Diana Ross, I just want cute, girly curls. Hee hee!
And man, did I regret doing that!
You know kids, they like something today then wake up the following day wanting something else. That's exactly what happened to me, I wanted curls in the 6th grade, then before I know it, I want my straight hair again... And what did I do with the curls? I CHOPPED IT OFF...
I was left with a short bob, was is still straight? No, my hair got thicker and it looked dry... Sheesh! Filipinos would say: nagtampo na ang hair mo...
For the longest time, I sported a really short do, so short, some people thought I'm tomboy. Not to mention the fact that I played a lot of sports in high school, including basketball. Nice!
I looked like that until first year college then I learned the beauty of hair straightening, then rebonding, from then on, I always wore my hair long and straight. I would get my hair rebonded regularly, the sight of a little wave means it's time to go to the salon, I was a regular.

Guess who??? Hahahahah!
Then I moved to the US, in my 2 year stay, I only had my hair rebonded once, rebonding here will cost you an arm and a leg, it's so freakin' expensive. Until I learned styling my hair on my own. ;)
I've used hair dryers, straightening irons, curling irons and put products that would curl or straightne my hair. It is known fact that heat will damage the hair so now that I hve a lot of free time, I discovered the best style for me that is both good for my hair and easier for me to do.
After years of straightening my hair, I went back to curling it. This time though, no heat is involved. I love how easy it is and how pretty and girly it makes me look. ;)
Can't wait to try my Bendy Rollers! Hee hee! ;)
