My Cebu Getaway September 2011: Budget and notes for Day 1

As promised, I will give you a breakdown of how much we spent on our first day in Cebu. I will try to remember as much and give you as much info as I can remember and give you tips as well.

  1. Terminal fee NAIA Terminal 3 - Php200
  2. As soon as you arrive in Mactan International Airport, make sure not to get the taxis the moment you exit the arrival area. Flag down rate right in front of the arrival area is Php70. Go up the stairs to get to the departure area and get the taxis people departing rode in. The flag down rate is only Php40 which is the standard in Cebu City.
  3. North bus terminal is around 30 minutes away from the airport, we spent Php145 for the taxi ride going there.
  4. Bus going to Hagnaya port is Php150 for the airconditioned bus and Php130 for ordinary.
  5. It takes 2 and a half hours by bus going to Hagnaya port and less than 2 hours to Santa Fe port from Hagnaya port.
  6. Roro from Hagnaya port to Santa Fe port is Php170.
  7. Terminal fee is Php10
  8. You also have to pay the entrance fee of the vehicle that the resort sent to the port to pick you up. I think that's Php12.
  9. The beach front room we stayed in was Php1700 per night.
All in all, we spent roughly Php1500 per head on our first day.

To end Day 1, I leave you with some of my favorite beach shots.
