It finally hit me... I am starting to become like other Pinoys living in the US who miss the Philippines so much that all they watch is TFC or GMA Pinoy TV. I know that some of you may think that I've only been here for 3 months (wow ang bilis ha...) but believe me, I miss the Philippines sooo much na! Iba pa rin ang Pinas...
I'm done with that stage na you're all excited about the US that all you want to do is watch American shows, watch their movies, go sight seeing, eat and eat their food. I did that for almost 2 months and trust me, when you stop being all turista, you will really start missing what you left behind.
You can't expect people kase to always be there to take you to the mall, to go out. Everyone's at work during the day, when they get home they watch TV and rest. You only get the chance to go out weekends so imagine the 5 days that I had to stay at home doing nothing! I have new found friends, and even got the chance to reunite with old ones. We got to go out a couple of times but then again, you can't expect that on a regular basis since apart from the fact that they live far from you, their schedules are quite unpredictable as well...
So imagine what poor Apple has to do to kill time 5 days a week... I am recently unemployed and was sick for more than a week... When I was sick, all I had to do was lay on the bed and sleep. When I got well, all I did was go on YM, chat, check Friendster, My Space and Multiply... Refresh screen... Log in my first account in Friendster then log out.... Refresh.... Log in my second account in Friendster.... Refresh screen.... Log back in to my first account.... View other people's profile, drop a comment or two on their pics... Check my friends' list in YM and see who's online... Yes I know... How pathetic! Ganyan ako every single day... Like I was complaining before na masyadong routinary sa Pinas ang life ko... Sabi ni God, mareklamo ka ha! Yan sayo! Har har har!
Sa Pinas, 5 times a week, may routine ako. Tulog, gising, trabaho, mall, kain, tulog. I can also get that dito pero ang wala dito, sa Pinas, maraming kaladkarin: Pao, Starbucks tayo after work! Carl, Cable Car tayo pagkatapos ng work! Kaye, isaw naman tayo kanila Mang Raul! Kaye, nood tayo baskteball game after work! May routine man ako na nakakaloka dahil trabaho 5 times a week, may time pa rin kami magkaladkaran kahit saan ng friends ko... Sheesh! Iba talaga sa Pinas!
Not that I'm complaining na kasama ko the entire time relatives ko, iba pa rin talaga ang may kasamang friends. The distance between my house and my friends is not like Makati to San Pedro or Alabang to San Pedro, it's kinda far. And man, presyo ng gas, kakaiba... Iba talaga sa Pinas... Text lang si Laloy, si Miles, I can always meet up with them kasama si Daddy Jayson... I love my cousins and Aunts and Uncles to death but iba pa rin yung may sarili kang barkada...
